Tucked in a quiet corner of Arrowtown, the simple form of this cottage embraces the heritage of the area, and at the same time provides a contemporary response. Envisioned as the first stage of development on this site for a young family, the design capitalises on the views, sun and privacy of the location.

Externally the envelope is low maintenance and simple. This gives way to interior moments of softness and fine detail, with clever interventions maximising the functionality of a small footprint and at the same time capturing the personality of the clients.
